Black Friday Roundup!

Black Friday is here!! This time of year gets me super excited for the Holidays because I LOVE shopping around to find the perfect gifts for my friends and family, at the perfect price. I also love to take advantage of special holiday pricing to stock up our household on items we’ve been wanting or needing.

Below is a round up of some of my favorite things, that all happen to be on sale for Black Friday! These are tried and true items that I own and use on a daily basis. These are products that make me happy and make my life easier, and I’m excited to share them with you!

2. Athleta Salutation Jogger These may be the most comfortable pair of pants I own. Great for lounging and errand running!

3. Old Navy Plush Sherpa 1/2 Zip for Women Super cozy and versatile!

4. Athleta Salutation Stash Pocket II Twist 7/8 Tight This tight is makes your bum look great while providing storage for your cell phone. What more does a girl need?!

6. Joss and Main Sanford Bed This is the bed we just got for our Main Bedroom and it is beautiful!! Comfortable, sturdy, and a sophisticated look.

7. Cecily Floral Linen Pillow Cover I fell in love with these pillows from McGee and Co. for their delicate floral pattern and neutral burgundy color. These seem very versatile to me while also being able to steal the show if needed!

8. West Elm Sphere + Stem Ceiling Light, Brass This is the light we just installed into our kitchen and it is a show stopper!

9. Anthropologie Capri Blue Volcano Candle My go-to candle with a fresh citrus scent that never gets old!

10. Pottery Barn Grand Percale White Duvet Cover My go-to duvet cover for a fresh white look with a little structure.

11. West Elm Assorted Metal Frames Perfect for gallery walls!

12. Rugs Direct Loloi Jocelyn Rug This is the rug we have in our living room and it is also a show stopper! It has a low pile and lots of color so its perfect for a high traffic area that needs to be vacuumed often.

13. Rugs.Com Blue Kennedy Rug This rug looks way more expensive than it is and it brings a nice pop of color into your room!

14. West Elm Faceted Brass Drink Table We keep this next to our fireplace and move it all around the room for whatever we need to set down! A drink, a snack, a plant…it looks stylish wherever you put it.

15. Beautycounter Resurfacing Night Peel I use this a couple nights a week after washing my face, but before moisturizing, and wake up with visibly smoother and fresher looking skin.

16. Yeti Rambler Mug Mike’s go-to coffee mug everyday. It keeps his coffee warm all day!

17. Pottery Barn Washed Velvet Pillow Cover These pillows are made of an eye catching velvet that is thick and soft. Very durable while making a statement.

18. LL Bean Ultra Light 850 Power Down Jack This coat is flattering, durable, packable and warm! I have it in black.

19. Beautycounter Dew Skin Tinted Moisturizer Light coverage that doesn’t need to be set with powder. Perfect for everyday use when you’re on a schedule!

20. Adhesive Tile Sticker Blue Tooth Tracker Perfect for the person who is constantly misplacing stuff (me!). I put one on my key ring and one on air pods so whenever I lose them I can use my phone to locate these items!

21. Roku Streaming Stick - Target We use these streaming sticks to turn non-smart TV’s into smart TV’s in a jif!

22. Roku Television - Target These are affordable smart TV’s that meet all your streaming needs.

23. EWA Mini Travel Speaker - Amazon This little speaker is small enough to go anywhere while putting out great sound!

24. Amazon Echo Show 5 We have the echo show sitting in our living room and use it for daily news, weather, music, cooking and more!

One Room Challenge: Week 4 - Nickel Gap and Coffered Ceiling

Welcome to Week 4 of the One Room Challenge! If you found us through the ORC, My husband Mike and I (Liz) are renovating our 1923 bungalow in Milwaukee, WI, while sharing the journey on Instagram and now, on this blog!

If you are joining us for the first time, we are renovating our Main Bedroom for the ORC. To catch up on design plans and progress, head over to ORC Week 1 and ORC Week 2!

You may have noticed, we missed Week 3. The truth is, renovating our kitchen, dining room and the main bedroom at the same time, while working full time, is…challenging! Last week, we had a deadline we needed to hit in our kitchen in order to get the countertops installed, so we weren’t able to devote time to the bedroom. But, we are back! And we have made some really cool progress =).

Main Bedroom Vertical Nickelgap

The vertical nickel-gap is in, and it makes my heart so happy! This is a fairly simple change that brings big impact. The texture brings visual interest and makes this room feel cozier than ever.

Main Bedroom Coffer Ceiling

I also want to direct your attention to the ceiling! You’ll see some common board up there so far…and that is the beginning of a coffered ceiling! We wanted to do something special in here since it is the Main Bedroom. We thought this classic design would pair nicely with the nickel gap. Check out the image below from Studio McGee that is our inspiration for the ceiling!
